Christopher A. Elwell

Chris joined MRS in 2007. After graduating from McDowell High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Psychology from Allegheny College in 1992. Prior to joining MRS, Chris earned valuable accounting and management experience in various leadership positions through his 15 years in private industry. In June of 2007, he returned to school at Penn State Behrend in order to pursue his accounting degree.

 Chris is a Board member and Treasurer of Asbury Woods Partnership
and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. In 2007 he became a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®.
Chris also values community service and volunteers for many non-profits in the area. He has been married to his wife, Greta, since 1994. They reside in Millcreek and have two wonderful children.

Susan L. Frawley, CPA, CFE

Sue has more than 20 years experience in accounting and auditing
as well as tax. She graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a
Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting with a
secondary concentration in Computer Science in 1985.
The beginning of Sue’s career included work in the accounting and
auditing department of KPMG Peat Marwick in Philadelphia. Following
her time in Philadelphia, she was a sole practitioner in Erie for
twelve years before joining MRS in 2005.

Her experience at MRS has been mostly in small business, non-profit
organizations, and individuals. She is also the technical issues
specialist for the firm. In 2008, Susan became a Certified Fraud
Examiner. The CFE designation will enhance her ability to serve her
clients in combating fraud.
Involvement in professional and civic organizations includes membership
in the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public
Accountants. With the Pennsylvania Institute, Sue served as the Chair of
the Social Responsibility Committee and on the Executive Committee. In
addition she serves on the Finance Committee of the Sarah A. Reed
Children’s Center Board of Directors.
Sue lives in Erie with her husband, Tim, and their three children. |

Annie Husted

Annie has been with MRS for 20 years. She graduated from East High and then worked at First National Bank and the Cotton Jenny in Fairview.
At MRS she is responsible for handling incoming phone calls, office management, and processing financial statements and tax returns.

 Her duties also include processing client payroll and preparing payroll tax returns.
Annie lives in Erie, has three children, and two grandchildren. |

 Joseph P. Maloney, CPA, CFE

Joe is a founding partner of MRS. A 1970 graduate of Gannon
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, he has
been a Certified Public Accountant since 1972. In 2006 he earned the
Certified Fraud Examiner designation.
Joe’s practice is centered on assisting small to medium size businesses reach their full potential and profitability. Joe has served as the Financial Advisor to the Erie County Council. He assists them in their annual budget deliberation and on arranging the financing of numerous public projects. He is the firm’s specialist in business valuation and forensic and litigation support.

He is a member of the American and
Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. With the AICPA,
he is a member of the sections on Taxation, and Forensic and Litigation
Support. Joe presently serves on the PICPA State Committee on Taxation
and the Committee on Forensic and Litigation Support. He is a member of
the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership Committee on the Erie
Regional Airport Runway Expansion. He is member of the Presque Isle
Partnership, serving on the Executive Committee. In addition, he has
been an instructor for the Becker CPA Review Course and the Erie
Business Center. Joe served on the Millcreek School Board for eight
years, serving one term as president of the Board.
Joe has been married to Penny for over forty years and has three grown
daughters. He has been blessed with seven grandchildren.

Michael J. Reed, CPA

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and partner working out of
our Erie office. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University in 1971 and has
been in public accounting since graduation.
Mike has special interests in taxation and closely held business
planning. He also oversees many not-for-profit audit engagements.

 He
has volunteered as a Board Member and Treasurer of many not-for-profit
organizations and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania
Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Mike and his wife Sandy reside in Erie and have two grown children,
Brian and Natalie, and presently a wonderful grandson and granddaughter. |

 Sherry Respecki

Sherry has been with MRS for 28 years. Prior to that she was
employed at Security Peoples Bank for ten years in data processing
as a computer operator and then as a programmer.

Her main duties at MRS include client
bookkeeping, payroll and payroll taxes. She is fluent in QuickBooks®, in
addition to other accounting and payroll software.
Sherry has been with her husband, Bob, for 40 years and they have three
sons, one daughter and three grandchildren. |

Frank Tofani

Frank is one of the newest members of the MRS family, having
joined the firm in December 2007. He is a graduate of Thiel College
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.

 Prior
to joining MRS, Frank served in the United States Air Force as a
computer systems specialist and spent over 23 years as the Chief
Financial Officer for a multistate hotel management company. |
